It is critical that we can demonstrate that the nanodroplets that are delivered are monodisperse and the correct size weight.
There are a number of physical variables that need to be carefully evaluated, each of which impacts the size of the nanoparticles. These are:
Diffuser hole sizes
With precise knowledge of these, the size of the nana-droplets can be controlled to meet specific cloud nucleation requirements.
Estimated development cost and funding target
Initial lab tests have been carried out which successfully created the fine nano-droplet spray needed, thus proving the concept. These test used sintered materials for the diffuser plate which does not have uniformity of a laser drilled surface. Furthermore, the sintered surface creates significantly higher resistance to the gas flow than the proposed laser drilled surfaces.
